1.1. Ocean Shell Studios ships domestically within New Zealand generally using Post Haste, NZ Couriers and NZ Post.
1.2. For international shipments, we primarily use DHL and FedEx, depending on destination and service availability.
1.3. Shipping method and carrier may be selected at our discretion based on delivery location, parcel size, and urgency.
2. Freight Charges
2.1. Freight charges are calculated automatically at checkout based on the weight and dimensions of the order.
2.2. If there are discrepancies in size, weight, or destination that affect the calculated freight, we reserve the right to adjust charges.
2.3. Retail Customers: You will be contacted before dispatch if additional charges apply. Your order will not be shipped until the revised freight amount is approved and paid.

This Ocean Shell veneer features genuine New Zealand Pāua in its natural, uncoated form, with a distinctive dimpled and spotty texture caused by shell-boring worms. The flat sheet is approximately 0.3mm thick and presented raw – no surface coating or backing panel is applied. The shell surface displays the iconic vibrant blues, greens, and purples of pāua, interrupted by textured worm trails and natural markings that give each sheet a rugged, organic appearance. Using this product on a light or dark background will affect the finish due to its translucency.
This veneer is ideal for inlay, jewellery, marquetry, decorative accents, and fine surface applications where a wild, naturally weathered pāua finish is desired. It is made from B-grade New Zealand Pāua with no coatings or backing.
